Blackcomb Mountains: Ready for It?

Blackcomb Mountains, which opened in 1980, was owned at that time by the Aspen Skiing Company. They relied on four triple chair lifts which were the Fitzsimmons, Catskinner, Stoker and Cruiser. It is interesting that, at the beginning, the mountain could not be appreciated in the early 90’s. Nevertheless, the mountain has experienced not only a quick, but also a significant development. In addition, another lift, which is known as the Jersey Cream lift, opened in 1984, but it, still, continued growing. In fact, two years later, the mountain was purchased by Intrawest Corp., which provoked the addition of the 7th Heaver T-bar. T-bars, known as t-bar lifts, constitute a mechanized system used in order to pull skiers uphill.

All this caused an incredible impact on the mountain since it made Blackcomb the first mountain boasting a 1-mile skiable height change.  Thus, the mountains, as time went on, have become one of the most fascinating tourist attractions in the area. For this matter, there is a wide diversity of activities that you are able to do there, ranging from outdoor adventures to intimate moments, from morning snow reports to rocking at night and from fine art to fine dining. The whole variety of activities is classified into four core categories, which are made up of on the mountains, outdoor activities, indoor activities and whistler village. Thus, you are able to choose the one that best fit your likes and expectations, or if you want to try them all, you also may. Thus, Blackcomb Mountains is a great place for you in case you are willing to have a different and unforgettable experience in an amazing place.  However, bring your warmest sweater and go enjoy snow as never before.
